DESIGN SHAKER, the largest spring fair of interior design coinciding with the Light in Architecture fair FOR INTERIOR, FOR GARDEN, FOR HABITAT and LIVING, new projects.
It is the eighth time visitors of PVA EXPO PRAHA exhibition grounds can look forward to a presentation of contemporary Czech and international design. The upcoming edition of DESIGN SHAKER will take place in March between 21. and 24. 3. 2019. Again there will be space to present individual authors, mainly young up-and-coming designers as well as established brands and Czech manufacturers.
The goal of the fair is to present contemporary interior trends to wide public and at the same time to create an ideal platform for meeting authors – designers, interior architects, and manufacturers. As in the previous years, it is a curated showcase, which means visitors are presented with carefully selected products and trends.
The guarantor of the quality selection is architect and designer Ing. arch. Hana Medková, who has many years of experience in architecture, design, and art.
Other famous names of Czech and international design scene will be announced during Media Café, where workshops and lectures will also take place as in the previous years. Media Café will again become the beating heart of the fair offering good coffee as well as reading and listening materials on the design world news to its visitors.
DESIGN SHAKER is not a simple product fair; it also offers on-site consultations with designers and architects. For this purpose, an entire section of the fairgrounds called Fresh Space will be opened. It will be possible to get a close look at the workings of an architecture or design studio, to see plans and realisations of individual studies, or to get advice and tips for specific problems. There will also be designers who are still at school or freshly working under their own brands presented there. As tradition, there will be another section of the showcase called Big Deal presenting select Czech manufacturers and distributors of international brands.
